Large Scale is IN.

I have noticed a trend over the last three to four weeks of more large-scale pieces being booked in. This is super exciting to me, as I find the challenge of working on a larger scale so much fun, especially when working with the natural curves of the body, placement and the ultimate end result. Not to mention that you guys trust me to put my art on your skin for you to keep forever.

I do really enjoy doing the faster paced smaller works, do not get me wrong- but there’s something really rewarding about cleaning down after a 6-8 hour large scale tattoo where I just feel really accomplished and proud of myself. And then getting home to dog snuggles and a hot bath is also an added cherry on top.

I know these larger works are a massive commitment, I am currently in the middle of getting my own back tattooed and I am very aware of the time it takes and the financial strain. I have always offered payment plans leading up to a booking, especially when we are looking at multiple day sessions for a piece, so I really do appreciate not everyone can afford a larger tattoo or commit to it. But if you are looking at this kind of work over the next year, I'm really hoping even with the changes coming up for me, I can keep my costs low and therefore keep the fees low for you guys.

Many of you who have been to me already will know I had a second (less than) part-time job, that I have now left. So now more than ever I am pushing myself, my creativity and my business to be able to be self sufficient and with the prospect of having some big moves this year.

Exciting times ahead.
