March…ing forward.

Well, a month later and i’m sure you’re all very aware the BIG, NEW thing was the new studio.

In, what some have labelled as an ‘insane’ task, we spent less than 12 hours moving the entire old studio, up the road to a whole new home.

The day started at 8am and we were set up and ready to tattoo by 5pm. And I am so thankful to everyone involved. It was so worth it.

Although I miss my little family at Blue Shampoo it was becoming super obvious I was outgrowing the space. And with leaving my other job and now tattooing full time, I needed the space to grow- and oh boy have we grown.

We welcomed in Sammy of Luna Tattoos. She’s been a perfect little addition to the Arcturus crew. Her creativity, skill and the fun she brings to the studio (and our reels) have been amazing. Fynn, the apprentice, has completely flourished in his drawing, flash and will be offering up some exciting news in the next week. And I, frankly and honestly, have been so busy I think my body has a little catching up to do. Being a chronically ill girlie is no joke when you run your own business, let alone factoring in the additional work of opening an entire new studio with a shop front on a busy street.

The footfall has been incredible. The new faces have been great and the neighbours are all so welcoming and friendly. I feel like we’ve settled in well over the last 4 weeks and as we approach our first month marker. This is when the flow is going to settle in. Between balancing life, health, gym and work i’m also leaning on my feet with being a business owner and it’s actually come pretty naturally. I have benefited from my little organised virgo brain!

The whole process of finding a place actually happened completely accidentally. And once i’d been to view the premises pretty much everything else fell straight into place. Between being offered it, getting it licensed within 24h, organising utilities within a week and upfront costs all being ready to go, it was thankfully pretty plain sailing.

I have a few, smaller exciting things happening over the next few weeks/months, so keep your eyes peeled, as usual the subscribers will get the information first so if you advent already don’t forget to sign up to our email list on the main page!

xoxo
